With deep sadness we have to advise of the passing today of former Northern Suburbs Bluebag and Balmain Tiger Club legend Garry Leo.
Garry came to our club after a long and distinguished career at the Balmain Tigers, beginning in 1963 and including Grand Final appearances in 1966 and in a history making win in 1969.
After announcing his departure from the Tigers in 1974, Garry held the then club record of 236 grade games.
1975 – 1978 Northern Suburbs Captain/Coach.
In his first year he took our club straight to the finals after an absence of a few years.
1975. 1976 Represented the Newcastle Divisional side.
Our condolences go out to Garry’s family, friends and former teammates.
